Our fearless leader, Mary Jean Anderson on stage at the Susan G. Komen – San Diego Race for the Cure. Kicking off the the race on a beautiful day, raising money for a special cause.

Woman 1: …tremendous supporter of Susan G. Komen. Please say good morning to her.
Mary Jean Anderson: Welcome, everybody! Can you believe this is the world’s finest city? Do we all agree? Can you believe where we live? The walk is going to be wonderful today. Yes, I have a story as well. I lost my grandmother way too early in life because of breast cancer. I lost a very good friend at the age of 30 from breast cancer, and two maternal aunts.
Thank you to Susan G. Komen and all of you out there who are survivors. I want to applaud all of you for being here today. Thank you so much for supporting a cause that’s very dear to my heart and has touched everyone here in our community. Thank you for being community supporters. As you know, 75% of the money raised here stays right here in our community. And I’m very grateful for that as well. So have a good time. Enjoy. And go Team Anderson!
