It most likely can. What area do you live in? Do you have any pipe removed from a repair that we can see? At no charge, we can send someone out to evaluate your specific situation.
We specialize I both repiping and relining. We can come out, view your system and explain the pros and cons on both.

Can the epoxy pipe lining be used on the thin copper that is in track housing? We have had a couple pin-hole leaks and so worried about the 'sand-blasting' aspect.
Thx,
C. Edwards

Yes, your correct. This valve would shut off the gas with seismic activity. And I do agree that if there was some kind of damage to the home caused by the shaking and the homeowner took it upon themselves to turn on the gas there could be problems. If the gas shuts off, the home must be inspected first and then turned on by a professional.

The customer would call either SDG&E or a licensed contractor to inspect potential damages and then the professional would test the lines and turn on the system. I did place a call to the fire department to find that they advocate these shut offs for residential use.
Thanks for the comment!

As a member of CERT in my area we are instructed to not shut off the gas, even if there is physical damage to the home, unless there is a leak. SDG&E says they could not get around to all of the homes to turn on the gas in an earthquake condition and inexperienced turn on could create an explosion or fire which they are worried about. SOOO hence my question. If you are installing automatic shake shutoff's you could be creating a hazard according to the fire department instructions

I've got to i was obviously a little leary of all hype occurring around solar. After considering plenty of programs and buy options my spouse and i decided to make the leap. We ended up getting solar without having money down and now we immediatly started saving cash the first month is was installed. I must say the potential benefits to solar seem to be real and I am happy we decide to move forward with it.

Is there a valve that would shut down my water supply after sensing a steady flow for 20 minutes? I have an old building that I would like to be able to automatically stop the water in case of line failure or "running" toilets.

This was a good post.. This will be my First trip to this website. Greatful for sharing this. I have to revisit this blog. I was a car mechanic for five years. My technical tip of the century is this: Please do not attempt a hard work job without help. That will cost you more in the end. Thanks once again!

I loved the post. Simply needed to mention that energy deregulation helps the surroundings and saves you money. With the economy the way it's, it makes sense to chop your expendatures as a lot as possible. This is a easy zero value way of doing just that.
